Massage Table Comfortable

Comfort is the key to ensure that clients gain the therapeutic benefits of a massage. Massage therapists that standout always goes that extra mile to find better ways to provide that comfort.

To become a massage therapist, we must undergo special training regulated by a state and rewarded with a certificate and license to practice.

Let us begin by discussing our role as massage therapists first. We are trained to use touch manipulation to work on soft tissues and muscles in the body.

In turn, a client receives relief from pain, improved circulation, stress relief, relation and overall feeling of wellness.

Massage Tables

To allow us to perform our massaging in the best possible way and to assure our comfort and safety, the massage table must be set to a preferred height in order for us to treat a client properly.

Try setting the table at different heights to determine what works best and then tighten the setting. Make sure it is securely tightened to avoid any mishaps. The right table level will take stress off our bodies and allow us to comfortably treat.

Since a massage usually takes place with a client lying prone, face down for 30 minutes or more, the face rest is very important because the pressure in the sinuses and head can occur when remaining in this prone position for an extended period of time.

Make sure the rest can be adjusted to a client’s request and don’t be afraid to spend a bit more money for a quality face rest. We can check the Internet for rests made with padding, water or gels.

The face rest should also adjust according to the size of a client’s head. It often pays to have a couple of different types and sizes to give clients a choice.

Different Types of Table for Message Therapy

To keep a client totally relaxed, aromatherapy is a great way to enhance a massage therapy session. before a customer lies on the massage table, put a few drops of an aromatic oil on a cotton ball and place it under the fitted sheet for a pleasant, soothing effect.

We must also make sure the scent is pleasing and that the client has no allergies to oils. place a cover sheet over the client that can be lowered as the massage progresses. always make sure that both sheets are sterile and clean for each client.

Another relaxing technique is to use hot and cold stones under the shoulders and under knees to release tension and stress.

The stones should be wrapped in cloth and alternated every five minutes. If there is swelling in the knees or feet, ice packs will help bring down the swelling.

Alleviating back and shoulder stress can be achieved by putting a hot dry towel under the shoulders and on the client’s back while he or she is prone.

This technique keeps the shoulders supported and level, while the heat relaxes the shoulder and back muscles. A pillow for lower back support can be placed under the ankles.

If the massage table is too narrow for some clients to rest their arms, it might to worth it to invest in armrests that can be attached. The armrests are vital to eliminating shoulder stress.

Wood Or Aluminum Massage Table?

Wood tables are very sturdy by weighing more than aluminum holding up to 500 to 700 pounds as compared to 300 to 400 pounds on aluminum.

Aluminum can be stronger than wooden tables, yet they are notably lighter making it easier to transport if need be. Sport’s massage therapists use aluminum tables because they are easy to travel to matches and games on a fairly regular basis.
